Made Simple

At Certify Canine, we celebrate the incredible bond between humans and dogs, making training accessible, effective, and enjoyable. Our mission is to help you create a lasting, harmonious connection with your canine companion through personalized dog training solutions. Whether you're welcoming a new puppy, addressing behavioral challenges, or seeking specialized service dog training, our expert trainers are here to support you every step of the way. Together, we'll simplify training and empower you with the tools needed to nurture a fulfilling relationship with your furry friend.

Our Training Philosophy

At Certify Canine, training isn’t just about obedience—it’s about building confident, capable canine-human teams. Led by Blake Woody, a seasoned trainer with over 15 years of experience, our programs are rooted in real-life readiness. We specialize in behavior shaping, socialization, and task-based development for service, therapy, and well-loved companion dogs.

Whether you're here for early foundations or advanced working dog prep, you’ll receive hands-on guidance, practical tools, and a customized plan tailored to your goals. From pack walks to private sessions, every step is designed to foster trust, resilience, and a dog that thrives in the world—not just the living room.

How It Works

Simple steps. Real results. Lifelong impact.

Whether you're starting fresh or refining your dog’s skills, we make the process easy and personalized.

1. Start With an Evaluation

We meet. You talk, I listen. I’ll get to know your dog, your goals, and the dynamics at play. You’ll walk away understanding where you are and where we can go. This is always a first step.

2. Get a Real Plan

Training doesn’t work if it’s copy-paste. You and your dog deserves more than that. You’ll get a customized plan that makes sense for your home, your life, and your dog’s brain.

3. Do the Work (With Support)

We train in the real world—sidewalks, parks, stores—because behavior doesn’t live in a vacuum. Whether it’s private sessions, pack walks, or the HomeBase program, you’ll get structure, feedback, and progress that sticks.

4. Track Progress + Celebrate Growth

As your dog gains skills and confidence, we keep adjusting the plan to meet them where they are. Whether you're managing reactivity, anxiety, or prepping for public access work, we’re focused on real, lasting behavior change.

For those pursuing service or therapy work, we also offer structured certification and third-party liability insurance—because when your dog is working in the world, you deserve support that holds up.

Frequently Asked Questions

What training methods do you use?

We use balanced training methods, emphasizing a relationship-based approach. This means we incorporate the full spectrum of operant conditioning techniques—essentially using the most effective and humane tools available for each unique dog and owner. We believe there's no single method that fits every situation; our priority is always to train efficiently, compassionately, and with respect for both you and your dog.

How long are your training sessions?

Our training sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes, but can be adjusted based on your dog's needs and progress.

Do you offer group classes or private sessions?

We currently offer private lessons and structured pack walks, with each walk accommodating up to 10 dogs. Additionally, we plan to introduce group classes once our new training facility is operational.
